Perfect bound print copies are now offered on Black Blade Publishing's site, link below:

Well, softbound anyway.
No hardcover still, unfortunately.

I enjoy my soft cover book, but I really regret not finding this game while the hardbacks were still available. Hardbacks just feel more durable, IMHO.

My only problem with the sotfcover book is the glossy cover... It's already full of fingerprints. By the way, is there any chance, that we'll see a digest sized S&W core rulebook in the near future? :)

No chance in the near future - shrinking it would require layout changes for reasons I don't entirely understand, but I'm told that by several people. I will keep looking into this periodically, don't worry. At the moment it's just taking a back seat to several other big S&W projects, including Knockspell.

You could shrink it down to digest size. But the text would be small, the top and bottom margins would be huge, the size margins would be small, and the two column format would look ungainly on such a narrow sheet of paper. In other words, you could shrink it down, but it'd be ugly and difficult to read.

Here are a few pictures of what I did with it to make it digesty. I love it - it's totally readable without any reformatting.

First pic is with whitebox digest sized on top if it isn't immediately obvious.
Second pic you can see the clear plastic cover to protect the regular title page.

I think I still have the PDF for it somewhere. It's 7 x 9 instead of 5.5 x 8.5.

It wasn't cheap, but I did end up with 2 copies since we could print 2 to the original paper size. I also used a heavy weight paper for the interior pages and 80# (?) for the covers. The back cover I used a textured vinyl page with instead of another clear plastic.

bulette,
That's pretty cool. Your Core spiral-bound being 7x9 looks to give the font just about the very same size as in WB's smaller booklet. I might have to give that a try. Did you get it done at somewhere like Office Depot or something? (a buddy of mine works at Office Depot and I had him do up my pdfs of the OD&D 3LBBs + Greyhawk in booklet form with thick cardstock covers and they turned out great)

Though were Core put as-is into WB's size, it'd be far too small and crowded and, as Verhaden says, it would need a total reformat.
