Printing and making folded booklets from Acrobat

Postby Fitz » Sun Dec 20, 2009 10:15 pm

I've put a brief illustrated guide to making folded booklets on my website.

I know a lot of people, especially the OD&D and Retroclone mob, like the A5/digest format, and indeed I do myself. It's not a difficult process at all.

Thanks for sharing.

Although I knew the process itself the spring-clips thing was one of those "D'oh! Why didn't I think of that before?" moments.

Agreed. I've been making digest-sized booklets for years, but this idea is going to make the stapling process much easier and the resulting booklets look much better.

Thanks for the great tutorial, Fitz. I, too, use Acrobat to print up my digest-sized booklets, have my long-arm stapler, etc. Hadn't thought to use binder clips, either, so that's a handy tip. I don't trim mine, though. I tried once or twice and they just come out too messy for my taste.

I'd love to see a similar tutorial for your saddle-stitching process. I've never tried that, but if a needle and some dental floss is all I need, I'd give it a shot.
