30x30 square template

Hoping this link will work. This is a template pre-measured for a 30x30 square DCrafter map. I like to carve the dungeon out from the blue, so this is all blue. Just put in floor tiles to create the rooms, etc.

My DC grid is only (I think) 24X24. How do I apply your larger grid to my program?

I saved his file and imported it with file>open in dungeoncrafter 1.

Hehe thanks. I just had to nudge up my screenrez a bit..but I got it.

Man but this program is made of pure awesome..though I'm having to keep reminding myself this isn't Photoshop and I can't draw the same way or use the keyboard shortcuts I'm used to.

great fun, i tried doing 4a as some secret temple with pits to keep sacrifice victims in and rooms for cultists (who were on the keep's staff at some point in the Castle's history) - unfortunately for them they dug further to expand the temples and found a cavern with a pool of weirdness that mutated them into zombie ratmen over time. lots of rat tunnels - y'aint wearing plate there comfortably unless yr a halfling, maybe. Would do more but I'm gonna be away from the computer - drat

(oops - top centre-right -where 2 rat-tunnels meet in a plain floor block -should be a rathole)

Geordie - you did some cool stuff in that map. It hadn't occurred to me that you could make the rat tunnels go under each other that way! I need the DC BMP output so that I have a file with the right resolution and put numbers into it.

The link is working at this moment. However, you probably don't really need it...it's just a BMP of a big blue square. You could easily make your own with DCrafter by using the "Floor_Black_Pit.bmp" file, then saving that map as a template. I do something similar with "Floor_Basic.bmp" to get grid-paper in various sizes for my DC maps. BTW - I'm quoting tiles from Harmyn's Classic Blue Dungeon tileset, available at Dragonsfoot (and maybe here too). I may have included those tiles in my tilesets as well, which I know are available for download here.

More thread necromancy...at least in DC 1.4.1, maximum grid size is based entirely upon screen resolution. I get around 33x44 in 1024x786 on my old 21" CRT monitor and not too much more with 1280x1024. I've found that 1280x1024 fits really well on a single 8.5x11 inch printed page.
